How to Create Glamorous Waves

blowdry

claireEver wanted big, glamorous, sexy hair? Senior stylist Claire tells us how.

To create these Gorgeous Victoria Secret style waves, start by prepping clean dry hair with Pure Abundance Style Prep. This will give you volume and make sure this look lasts.

With a large barrel curler, curl the hair from the roots to ends giving it soft voluminous movement. Dividing the hair into neat sections will give you more of a salon finish plus it will make your life so much easier while you’re curling. Don’t forget, the size of the barrel will determine the size of the curl, so if you want big glamorous waves, go for one with a large barrel.

If your hair is reluctant to curl, here is a salon tip that hairdressers love. Use the curling tong as usual but as you remove it hold onto the curl you’ve just created with online slots your fingers. Then, using a small pin or clip, pin the curl to the head. Do this all the way around, and wait until the hair is cool before removing the pins. We do this because while the hair is warm, it is still maleable, once its cold, the style has set. Pinning it up as you go means the hair cools down before it is released, so those beautiful curls will last you all night!

Once the curling is done, finish the look by tousling the hair and spraying with Aveda Air Control hairspray. This will give hair that volume and movement and keep hair in place.
